It's been SUCH a hectic past few weeks. I feel as though since I've went on holiday, I haven't stopped. I went to Zante, as you know and then it was my 18th birthday which I celebrated properly on the Saturday. It was pleasant and I was surrounded by my favourite people. I wanted to create this post to show you my dress, makeup and all the other antics that took place, a very eventful night. Birthday Antics (and lil me in the background)Before I get on to anything else I have to talk about my dress. WOW. I couldn't of been happier with it if I tried, it was so amazing! I love how sparkly it was and when you moved it changed from green to blue. It was the perfect glamorous party dress to celebrate my 18th in. I got it from the ever so trusty Pretty Little Thing and it was £35 so a decent price for a special occasion. They have very similar dresses in different colours, but green is forever my colour. I matched my dress with a gorgeous black velvet choker and my sparkly heels as shown above. They were so gorgeous and matched my dress perfect. They were from Kurt Geiger, but were rather expensive at £130. It was my 18th so I'm allowed OK. The night was very pleasant, I was surrounded by my family and friends (minus a few who couldn't make or came later on). We ended up going to town and I had booked a table at a place at Condukt. I was disappointed though if I'm honest because I was meant to get some sparkles which they didn't provide even after asking and for paying £50 the table didn't fit more than 4 people on it, put it this way I won't be going back there very often if at all. I think next year I'll for certain be heading back to my favourite place which is Florita's in Newcastle. Crazy Balloons & Mac MakeoverI did have the typical 18 balloons by unfortunately the 8 blew away which wasn't a good start to the celebrations, I was so gutted. Nevertheless I did get a photo with them, despite not being the best quality. They were from the card factory at £7.99 each, quite expensive but it would of been worth it if the 8 hadn't left me early. Not cool. I've added a photo of my face because I had my makeup done. It was £40 at Mac and worth every penny. I absolutely loved it and it lasted me ALL night, it was everything I had hoped for and more. On my lips I had went for the ever so popular Velvet Teddy which I bought whilst I could. I had bought some false lashes because why not? it was my 18th! We went for a smokey eye as well because I wanted the full glam makeover and the makeup artist, Sophia certainly didn't disappoint. Well I'm officially 18 and an adult now, meaning all the important parts of this year are over. Whilst my clubbing experience disappointed me, I did have fun before hand and that's all that matters surrounded by the best people. Not to mention how perfect my dress and makeup was! I hope you all enjoyed a catch up of what I've been up to this summer so far. If you are at school, sixth form or uni... how is your loooong holiday so far?

Happy Saturday lovelies! Right now I'm probably getting both nervous and rushed as today is part 2 of my 18th birthday celebrations. If you didn't already know, I did indeed turn 18 on the 24th July. I'll be honest with you, being an adult is no different to being a teenager. I don't feel any different. Except from when I had to answer the door to work men and show them what needed to be done, I can't keep up with these responsibilities. Joking. But before all the birthday antics, I have to talk about one of the best holidays I have EVER been on. My first ever girls holiday to Zante. I wanted to show you some photos and videos of my time away, as well as a bit of advice having experienced being away without my parents. Yikes, I really am getting old, aren't I? A Bundle of FUNIf you have the opportunity to go on a girls holiday I recommend it MASSIVELY. It's certainly the best thing I've ever done and completely took me out my comfort zone, knowing I don't have my parents to fall back on. I'm not going to merely narrow down a girls holiday to 'going out drinking and partying every single day' because if that's not your thing, don't feel pressured to! Just as equally, going travelling would be absolutely amazing. When I'm a bit older, I would love to go travelling for a month. After all, it runs in the family. My Auntie went travelling around America and I remember how intrigued I was the first time she told me. I've been to America before and fell in love with it's culture, I would love to do what my Auntie did in the future. So if you're looking for inspiration, check out American road trips. Getting back to Zante. The first thing I have to emphasise is GO EXPLORE. I spent most of my day either sunbathing or sleeping off a hangover and I regret it so much. Not only is Zante party central, but it's one of the most beautiful islands. I am the type of girl to explore new destinations and I have an eye for pretty places, therefore I am gutted I didn't spend more time checking out more of Zante other than the strip. Nevertheless, the events were INSANE. Whilst Newcastle is known for it's nightlife I would struggle to find a place that would top Zante night life. We attended Pure Beach Club, the Paint Party at Rescue's and the Full Moon Party. All of which were an amazing, joyful experience. I couldn't pick and choose which were my favourite because all of them were very impressive. So much so, I would go back there again. I really felt I was living my teen years whilst I was away, care free and partying every single day. Yup. Every. Day. Drinks are cheap, but PLEASE be careful. More about that later. The music is chart music so easy to single along, but they also have old tunes which I was happy about because secretly, that kind of music is my favourite to dance along to. I stayed at the Ilios Aparthotel which was faultless, except for the fact I had to pay for a stained double sheet which initially I accepted knowing I had worn fake tan on my holiday, but then later realised me and my friend had two single beds. Be cautious because if you ask me, I think they were coning me out of my money there. It was always pleasant and sunny, the restaurants were cheap or dodgy at all. A place I would recommend is Balsamico which serves pasta, pizza, burgers, steak, fish food and much more. There was also a good selection of cocktails, ciders and wines. A second recommendation would be Cool Peppers, the restaurants by the beach all seemed amazing, but be prepared for promotion guys trying to get you to go eat in their restaurant. You'll get used to it. Advice from my ExperienceI must begin by warning you about the cheap and sometimes dangerous alcohol. Whilst it's exciting to be partying with no boundaries, safety is more important. The amount of people that were on the drip because of being spiked or drinking dangerous spirits was crazy. It happened to one of my friends and she explained that most of the A&E was filled with people on the drip. 1. DO NOT take drinks of anyone even if they seem like nice people, you don't know them 2. DO NOT pick up drinks left behind or from the bar 3. ALWAYS watch your drink or put your hand over your cup as anything could be slipped in it. Of course don't obsess over this as it will ruin your experience and night out, but always keep in mind to be cautious for your own safety. Next up, pick pockets. This is also huge. You will see a lot of people trying to sell you things on the strip, which makes people who are drunk quite vulnerable. Some of the people selling will distract you to try and take money from you. My advice is to wear something such as a bum bag and never take all your money out with you. Believe me, €30 will be absolutely fine for a night out. I also would say one of the best things I did was buy a safe for my room to securely lock in my passport, travel insurance details and the rest of my money. If you lose these things it would be an absolute disaster to say the least. Now I'm over the boring stuff, for me, I had no worries in Zante. The only thing that stressed me out was burning as I'm ginger, but thankfully my factor 50 served me well. A Memorable FIRST Girls HolidayI would absolutely recommend Zante, especially as a first girls holiday away. For me, it was safer, cleaner and better than I expected. The hotel we stayed at was immaculate and most of the hotels our other friends stayed at said the same. The strip was kept well, it didn't smell or look disgusting and the events were all professional, impressive and fun. Evidence of this is attending a pool party with Sigala as the DJ. Amazing right? There was so many amazing restaurants for any time of the day, so you don't go hungry. They even had a McDonald's, Subway and Frozen Yogurt ON the strip. I always looked forward to the end of a night out for some lovely food. If you're a party animal, you will honestly love Zante. If you like sight seeing, you will also love Zante. You can rent boats to go check out the island too! You also get free t-shirts, glow sticks and more extras from the events you take part in. Yes, I've kept my t-shirts. That's all from me! I missed Zante as soon as I landed back home and I haven't stopped missing it since, in a years to come I'll still be raving about one of the best holidays yet. Zante, you did me proud. Go check out night life in Zante, there is many videos on YouTube as well as clubs on Facebook. You can also check out what you can get up to throughout the day such as looking for Turtles, Waterparks, looking at the gorgeous view of the island and so much more. What was your first holiday like? Let me know!
Happy Tuesday loves! I'm currently soaking up the sun in Zante, possibly in a state where the thought of alcohol is making me feel sick. Nevertheless, I wanted to create this post in advance so there was no excuse for a missing post this week. I've recently been reading the Vogue August issue of their monthly magazine publication and felt inclined to preach my new love for photographer Harley Weir. Her talent is unbelievable, so today I wanted to share with you some of her work. Unique PhotographyFor me, one of the most striking things I felt about Harley Weir's photography is immediately that she challenges perceptions of beauty. I've noticed quite a few features of red head's in her work, which is incredibly uplifting. If you follow my Google+ account you will know how frustrated I have become about how mainstream views and ideology continues to overpower. I adore Love Island (borderline obsessed if I'm honest), but even programmes like that have the majority of women as long blonde hair with the ideal body, it's just not realistic and reinforces the idea that we have to look this way. Not to mention there is not one single red head in there. Whilst society is opening up to different perceptions of beauty, there continues to be stereotypes. This aggravates me deeply. I'm glad I don't want to live up to societal exceptions and I'm incredibly grateful to be a red head myself. Not only does she use different beauty, but I love her experimentation with colour. The first image uses viid greens and yellows contrasted with the model'd red hair, my favourite type of photography is statement colours which Weir is gifted in providing. Vivid Colour use and Personal ReflectionI feel her photography can be incredibly personal, as well as challenging mainstream ideals. Again the use of colour makes the photography all the more striking. The second image celebrates diversity and models who aren't typical, especially in the fashion industry. I am a huge fan of bold colours, the red with the blue background gives life to her photography. This would certainly catch my eye and congratulates unique models, whom challenge typical beauty. The first image, like I said, I feel is personal. As soon as I saw the image, I personally took it as the pressure women have to be beautiful. I like how photography can sometimes be a reflection of yourself, your experiences and how you feel about yourself as a person. As I've grown older, I've completely disregarded the how I used to be. My passion for the fashion industry comes from my need to express diverse beauty and celebrate what is often hidden by society. This girl seems to be beginning her journey through what she thinks society wants her to be, dolled up and beautiful which makeup can always help with. That's all from me! Vogue never fails to amaze me. I love that it consistently opens up my eyes to new challenges as well as talent that needs to be both noticed and celebrated. I think that Harley Weir is certainly one of my favourite photographers for her focus on perceptions of beauty as well as experimentation with colour usage.
Upon reading this fantastic novel quicker than I initially anticipated, I felt it was necessary to reveal this moving, eccentric and intelligent read which will certainly be a struggle to put down even for a second. The Muse was a novel I struggled to put down once I got it started and strangely enough, wouldn't be something I would typically pick off a shelf. It was by chance my Auntie recommended the book to me and I've never been more grateful. Jessie Burton - The MuseThe synopsis of this novel can be summarised down to the journey of a painting and the painter, how it's meaning can encapsulate an admirer revealed through a dual plotline. There is educative reflection on the time period of 1936 through the painter, Olive Schloss, who hides under a male pseudonym as it boosts her creative flare to paint as well as making her work more accepted. The public believe her to be a male artist, Isaac Robles. Naturally oppression of the past is further conveyed through the second narrator being black and how it affects her as a citizen living in London in 1967. Both admiringly and unfortunately, in order to be noticed, talent throughout the novel seemingly had to be hidden or boosted by much more powerful figures. Whilst I wouldn't typically be enthralled by such a novel whose context is based around a painting, Burtons is able to create it's journey intertwining arts and the history of inferiority both educating and moving the reader at the same time. What's more, the painting reflects the political crisis of the Spanish and how Love and friendship create passion and consequences. With gratitude to such a novel, I'm able to be more open when considering future books as The Muse in particular is an uncommon read for me, yet I surprisingly found it incredibly gripping. A Captivating and Compelling ReadThe sole purpose of this novel focuses on creativity, passion and what drives it. For me, this is immensely motivating as I can relate as someone who too becomes inspired by my own creative spark. Historical outlook doesn't stop there, I'm further educated about the Spanish Civil War where Theresa faces intense and terrifying consequences for not revealing the hiding spot of her brother, Isaac who dangerously acts out through his strong political views. This novel is not only educative through its truthful encounter of historical events and oppression due to ethnicity or gender, but shows the journey of romance, art and friendships with twists and turns along the way continuously alluding to what the author might be suggesting. Whilst a dual plot line can always be somewhat complex, I would absolutely encourage you to read this novel as I found it extremely compelling. That's all from me! I would encourage you to pick up this novel because I was pleasantly surprised by it. If you love following the journey of creativity whilst being educated by history, such as the Spanish Civil War and a female artist under male pseudonym, go purchase this book immediately. I was really moved by this novel.
I've missed speaking about Interior Design and my love for it certainly wasn't just a phase. I've noticed, through my Pinterest, (which I will link below) that I've been saving Interior Design for office space and wanted to show you some of the styles I've been loving. White InteriorIf you've been a frequent visitor to my blog, you will know my love for white Interior. It's plastered all over my Pinterest. This style of office space is my absolute favourite. I love the all white look combined with different textures of grey and black completing an overall monochrome style. The most common feature I love is the faux fur chair rug both for comfort and a visually pleasing Interior Design. For me, I'm easily motivated, but at the same time I think it's further inspiring to get creative and fill your room with things that motivate you such as the photos in the first image on the wall. You need to fill your office space with something which keeps you going when you are procrastinating (believe me, I know how well I can procrastinate, especially during exam season). If you're a creative person like me, it's essential to go all out with your space and fill the room with potential. Extra DetailsTo reiterate, for me, creating a room where all your work and study takes place means filling it with ideas and objects which keep you motivated. Much like the second image, I know my Vogue magazines would be in my office as fashion is a keen interest of mine. Furthermore, a moodboard which represents your style or what you like will keep you going when you're loosing the will to live, especially when studying! I'm a perfectionist, so I would fill the room with neatly placed, colour coordinated images and ideas to make me realise my potential and what I'm good at. This is key if you're like me and wanting to go into the fashion industry. Creativity should be the focal point of your work to keep you motivated. These frames are so easy to find such as in IKEA or online store like Not on the High Street or Etsy which gave users uploading creative content for consumers to purchase according to their style. It's so easy to get creative with your office space, I'm really into the idea of using the Interior you have to motivate yourself when you're working. Even quotes like "Do it" in the image above help me! A Bright Colour PaletteI think one of the main reasons as to why I tend to gravitate towards bright and light colour palettes in a room is because it keeps your mood positive. For me, dark colours in an environment where you will be working dampens my mood. My office space would be full of pinks, white and pastel grey colours for an overall vivid look. I wanted to add in the image above because it's both unique to my other choices and emphasises my reasoning behind choosing a bright colour palette for a study room. The pink and white contrast immediately motivates and inspires me, reinforced my the way the room is organised such as the wall planner with an itinerary for day to day tasks which need to be completed. Different textures and objects add the vibrancy such as the stripped cushion and the multi coloured balls hanging from the ceiling for a much more enjoyable atmosphere. Plants are a must for me in terms of Interior Design at the minute, in my new bedroom I'm planning on going fake plant mad, you can't go wrong with plants and a gorgeous green colour. That's all from me! I hope you've enjoyed my post today. Be sure to come back for more Interior Design inspo as well fashion and lifestyle related posts. There is a lot more exciting posts in the near future as I have a lot going on this summer. Do you love white Interior or do you have a different style? Be sure to let me know.
Saturday night was full of glamour, dancing and LOTS of red. I had my Leaver's Ball at the weekend and because I was in love with both my makeup and overall outfit, I have been dying to share with you ALL the details. Red Lace Ball Gown DressTHIS DRESS. I am so in love with it. For my prom, looking back, I wasn't totally happy with the all over outfit, but this dress was absolutely amazing. What's more, was it was an absolute bargain too. When thinking about the type of dress I was looking for, I went on both the Pretty Little Thing and Missguided app to have a browse. PLT, whom never disappoints, stunned me with this dress which in fact was only £25 and in the sale. I was initially looking for a red dress, being my favourite colour, so was over the moon when I tried it on for the first time. It's a gorgeous red lace dress with an underlay that goes half way down my thigh and the overlay, a gorgeous lace material goes all the way down to the floor which is slightly more see through for a beautiful detailed look. I combined my dress with a silver sparkly choker, silver heels and a silver clutch bag for the full glam look. Charlotte Tilbury Full Makeover - The BombshellI was so impressed with my makeup for my Leaver's Ball. In fact, it was hands down the best makeover I have ever had. The artist really paid attention to detail and always considered the way I wanted it and to top it all off, she was both lovely and talented. We decided on a gorgeous smokey eye makeup with a winged eyeliner. We mixed some lovely bronzed eye shadows with a glittered lid to finish it all off. The artist ensured that my eyebrows were thick and natural which I both loved and was impressed by as I feel I always struggle to not make it obvious I've drawn in my eyebrows. The foundation was PERFECT for my skin and was long lasting, it didn't come off all night. She then went in with a tanned bronzer (perfect for summer, too) to place emphasis on the hollow of my cheeks creating sharp cheekbones. Finally, I knew my dress was red, therefore the red lip was absolutely essential. The lip liner is essential for bold, full lips followed by the lipstick is in the shade Fallen from the Lipstick Tree from the collection K.I.S.S.I.N.G for a complete vivid red lip and finally the lip gloss added to the glamorous effect and emphasis the bold red lip I was going for. I really recommend Charlotte Tilbury, especially if you live in Newcastle as the staff were so lovely and happy to help. I was absolutely amazed by the overall look and can't wait to head back there again this summer. That's all from me! I hope you've enjoyed my post tonight and perhaps I've given some inspiration on ideal ball gown dress for your own events. I loved my red lace dress and my Charlotte Tilbury makeover was absolutely to die for.
PRE WARNING: THIS CONTAINS A LOT OF SPOILERS. Do not read this if you want to read it yourself because you will be very annoyed at me if that is, indeed, the case. Would I Recommend?I loved this play. I think at first it definitely took me a while to get into due to the fact it is set out like a play, but after I got this gist of it, I couldn't put it down. A quick synopsis would be suitable otherwise some of you might not know what I am talking about. The play's official summary was released by the publisher (Pottermore) on 23 October 2015: It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places. II goes without saying, J.K. Rowling never disappoints, does she? I truly did love reading this. If you know me well enough, then it's no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter. In fact, I am borderline obsessed. I couldn't count on one hand how many times i've watched binged watch every single film. I love it. In fact, they will be the only films I can watch twice non-stop. I have to admit that I have never read her previous novels, so it took it upon myself to read this play. It takes us on a journey of both friendship and darkness, but reveals how love and unity wins all. We have a nice little twist which intertwines the fear of the Dark Lord back into the novel. We see the past of Harry Potter and many parts of the previous novels that we are all very much familiar with e.g. Triwizard Tournament. I think this play continues to give that magic spark which excites the reader and (if you were lucky enough to see it on stage) audience, but do you expect anything less from a J.K. Rowling play? A Truly Spellbinding PlayOne thing I hope never happens, is that it's turned into a film. I say this because I have heard rumours of people wanting it to be made into a movie. I think to do that doesn't give Harry Potter the finality it deserved. What's more, it written to be acted on stage. To produce any more of them would perhaps ruin the whole perfection of the film series as a whole. Harry's, the boy who lived, went through his life having to fight and prepare for the fate of a battle with the Dark Lord, so to bring back a sense of fear that he will once again arise upsets the whole set up and intention for me. In fact, I would be hesitant to watch it if it ever was made into a film because I don't know how I feel about it. The centre and focus point of the play looks at the younger wizard generation, but, of course, not entirely. Due to the loss of Harry Potter's parents, Albus feels a sense of neglection and distance between him and his father which sets up the action which prevails throughout the rest of the play. J.K. Rowling never fails to amaze me, the imagination she is able to conjure up for the whole world to enjoy is immaculate. The wizarding world is certainly, fantastic, different and a place we all, at some point, wished we could be part of. I would without fail recommend this play as a read to anyone, but suggest you not to be encouraged for it to progress into a film. The series produced throughout the years are carefully, creatively and intelligently crafted to make it meaningful and enjoyable for a viewer without it getting too repetitive. Whilst I would love endless productions of Harry Potter on screen, I know ultimately the Deathly Hallows should remain the end of the film series. That's all from me! Hope you have enjoyed today's blog post. After my exams I really got back into reading again, finishing this play within just two days. It was that good. I am now going onto my second novel which I will give a review of once finished. I would like to make a thing of this because reading has been a love of mine ever since I was a toddler when my mum and dad used to read to me. Are you a Harry Potter fan and what do you think of the play if you've read it?
Good evening... so it's been a while. I have to first and foremost apologies in regards to how inactive I've been over these past couple of weeks. In regards to this, let me explain in this blog post for you all. Just a heads up, my posts will be back to normal now, with a new one every Tuesday and Saturday evening as usual. So remember to come visit again! Exam Season and STRESS!Studying. That is my only explanation for my inactivity recently. I thought I might be able to balance revision and creating two blog posts a week, but it just got too much. I've been revising so much that when it gets to the evening I'm either asleep or need to relax because I've used all my brain power. Literally. The process just kept repeating. I can't even begin to tell you how tired and stressed I've been over these past three weeks, but there's light at the end of the tunnel. 1. Because it's over 2. Because hopefully my performance will lead to good grades in the end! Now I am free for the summer (which is a long summer might I add) giving me lots of time to work on my posts and better my blog as a whole. I lost my creativity whilst revising, too because I had no time for it. I didn't really go on social media or post on my Pinterest because I knew that my exams had to be the focus point of my life. Now it's over and just keeps getting better and better from this moment onwards. I have so many exciting events and holidays coming up that I can enjoy and most of all, share with all of you. This include blog posts on my summer outfits (which will most likely be on gorgeous scenic beaches in Greece) my 18th birthday which will include both what I was given, my night out outfit and my makeup, too. Other than that be sure to keep coming back for Fashion, Interior Design and lifestyle posts on the regular. This is just a quick little update to let you know what I've been up to. Tuesday's blog post is going to be lifestyle related, I know this because I'm going to plan a few ahead of time. Something else super exciting is my Leaver's Ball next week. I'll be able to show you my dress, my makeup and my accessories (including the most amazing, sparkly choker). I hope you stick around for more new and exciting blog posts which I'm free and able to do now thanks to my last exam being yesterday. I definitely think I did well in all my exams and if all else fails, I tried the best I could and I guess that's all that really matters. Now all I can do is wait and see what happens next in my life. I'm a big believer that everything happens for a reason.
It's been a long time since I wrote a beauty orientated blog post. I think as I've grown older I've become more interested in fashion as opposed to beauty, but every now and then I still enjoy writing a review. Today I wanted to reveal to you my new found love for the Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue foundation (it's a god sent). Long Lasting and MinimalI LOVE this foundation. Remember the good old days when I used to rave about the Too Faced Born This Way foundation? Well this beats it! I used to love my Too Faced foundation, but as time went on I found that by the end of the day I had barely any left on my nose area, the top of my forehead and around my cheeks. As much as I loved it, it wasn't for me anymore. I also knew that the colour was completely wrong. It had a very yellow undertone, although it was Ivory. I might not of done enough investigating, but the girl at the Debenhams counter told me the colour was perfect for my skin, yet I had to apply the foundation all the way down my neck so I didn't look a different colour to my natural skin! After I finished this foundation I looked into the Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue as I was given a sample in my Vogue monthly issue. I was AMAZED. They have a wide range of colours and shades including both red undertones, as well as yellow undertones. Being fair skinned and a red head, I have red undertone to my skin and I finally found the perfect shade. The result...I've now been wearing this foundation for a good 3-4 weeks, therefore I'm able to give a decent review. My shade is 10 beige and is absolutely immaculate in regards to my natural skin colour. The foundation certainly does as it suggests. I've NEVER before had a foundation that lasts all day. The only time this comes off my face is when I forget I have makeup on and rub my face. I chose this product because it gives a matte finish, whereas my old foundation gave a liquid finish which isn't really my preference. It also feels as though nothing is on your face, giving a perfect, natural finish to your makeup. The foundation has a moisturizing active ingredients offer a sensation of comfort all day long and hydrophobic pigments to resist daily emotions and deliver radiant colour in all circumstances making it suitable for all skin types and all ages. As I've grown up I've realised I don't suit a caked face with about 10 pumps of foundation applied. I love how minimal this looks and for a person who never gets spots, I don't feel I need a heavy, full coverage foundation. If you're fair skinned like me, I couldn't recommend this foundation more. Quick tip: use a brush not a beauty blender as I found application was less successful with my blender. Full Face Testing Chanel FoundationThis is my everyday makeup with the Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue foundation. As you can see it matches my neck so I'm not worrying about being one of those girls with the foundation line! I think this product gives a natural and minimal look which I much prefer to previous products I've tested. I think this is a definite recommendation and the best foundation I've ever tested out before, especially for fair skin. The product is £37 from most stores such as Debenhams or House of Fraser, easily purchased online and in store. Although on the expensive side, it does as suggested in the description and by far makes the purchase worth it. That's all from me! Hope you've enjoyed my blog post on my favourite foundation. I cannot stress enough how good this is! I've always been a big fan of Chanel and I'm so happy I've went and purchased this product. If you're sick of never being able to find the right foundation, I greatly recommend this. You won't be disappointed.
As you may already know, I moved house (very sadly) in January and I'm currently staying with my auntie. Although pleasant to be with family, It's beginning to get tedious. We are SO CLOSE to a new home and over the past few weeks I've gathered together a digital moodboard on PowerPoint of how I wish to decorate the interior of my bedroom. Today I thought I would share it with you! Bedroom MoodboardThis is definitely far from finalised. I've seen the potential houses we want to move into and have tried to visualise what I would like my room to look like. I took inspiration from my interior design moodboard on Pinterest and found I love white interior with a dash of colour. That's where pastel pink and green (fake) plants came into my mind. I'm a fan of the grey, black and white monochrome style and as gorgeous as it is, I do feel it doesn't add much vibrancy to the room itself. That's why I decided to switch it up a bit with colour. I've added some frames true to myself and my interests, alongside some fashion novels and books which will be stacked up on a drawer for both reading leisure and to add to the visual of my room. I wouldn't paint my bedroom walls complete white as I think it would be a bit TOO bright for that sort of room. I also value sleeping in the dark and when it gets light I don't want to be waken up... Pinterest InspoThese were the looks I had gathered together according to the type of style I wish to go for. For me, the top right photo has way too much going on. I don't really like the wooden floor boards with a mixture of greys, oranges, pinks and green. I'm very much a minimalistic type of girl. Colour is essential, but I'd rather have white with pink or white with pink and grey. I don't think I'd go further than a main colour and three other colours which don't overpower too much personally. I love the image with the Prada frame hanging above the bed. I like the main feature of white, alongside a hint of green taken from the plant and the beige basket really adds to the look, proving that I prefer only a few select colours more so. Pastel pink and monochrome style continued to crop up in both my moodboard and Pinterest inspiration, making it a likely factor for my new room. Study Room MoodboardThis room is VERY important to me. I think I work so much better if I'm in a room that is very much true to my style. I'll feel more motivated and inspired by my surroundings. My study room very much takes a similar design to my bedroom. I think that I would make the room much more of a dark grey colour because white in every room is, well... too much. In terms of colour I would take a similar style, yet I would possibly incorporate pastels with the same colour, but more vivid. I love the idea of having a board above the study such as the photo on the top right to add current motivations or quotes that will keep you going with your work. I'm so down for a chair rug because comfort is EVERYTHING to me. In terms of the actual desk (which I already have) I think layout and organisation effects my performance in studying, therefore I would add pencil pots and diaries to file and plan what I do, etc. Office InspoThis is the type of inspiration I added to my office space moodboard. I LOVE the dark grey on the top left image. I think it adds a bit more life and vibrancy to the room without looking a bit TOO minimalistic for a study space. It's probably not much of a surprise that I added in the plants to add a dash of colour. I think I would really focus on contrasting lights with darks, so vivid blacks and dark grey on the walls, etc. I'm also into stands where you can get creative with what you place in them like the middle photo which stores books, camera's, frames and plants, etc. I'm a perfectionist so designing this would be enjoyable and pleasing to see. That's all from me! I hope you've enjoyed viewing my journey in the creation of both my room and study in my new home. I can't wait to actual see it for real and show it to you all. I love minimalistic and white interior, but adding a dash of colour gives a more homely feel to it.
