Long time no see! Apologies for being M.I.A recently. Unfortunately I'm at that awful stage of my A-levels where my exams start next week. Yes, next week. I am totally freaking out about it. That's one of the few excuses I can give, but today I'm back with a summer wardrobe courtesy of the Missy Empire website! Outfit 1: Gingham LoveI love this look. It's perfect, especially for UK weather in the summer. Often the season has warm weather, but not boiling weather. Therefore, these gorgeous cream straight leg trousers are a necessity. Unlike denim trousers these won't stick to you as much making you feel uncomfortable. I have the gingham top and it's amazing! It's got cute little tie up bows at the back for extra detail. We all know gingham has been in for a while now, so get your hands on it whilst you can. I felt the overall outfit was slightly dull for summer, therefore I added in these pastel pink pumps, with the fluffy pom pom to give the look some colour. If you wanted a further bold look, find a metallic back or a tussled backpack to complete. Outfit 2: Culotte styleProud to say I actually have this gorgeous jumpsuit. I saw it on blogger and YouTuber Lissy Roddy (one of my biggest influencers online) and had to purchase it immediately. This is jumpsuit is perfect for both day and night time. You could dress is down wit ha pair of trainers or switch it up with some sandals or wedges for an evening meal. The metallic clutch further gives a bold, eccentric look to the outfit which I love, but keeps it a lovely light colour scheme. Outfit 3: Denim and EmbroideryYou can't go wrong with a bit of denim, especially distressed denim. I added the black brtalette with the red embroidery because the blue and red contrast is a lovely bold look for a summer outfit. Chokers will never go out of style (I hope) so add this two piece choker for a little more detail. The classic sandals are a must to stop you from getting too hot this summer. Outfit 4: Metallic and straw hatsI love this lil outfit mainly because of how bright and vibrant it is, perfect for a summer look. I could imagine myself wearing this when I go on holiday if we go out for the day or go for food. The metallic backpack is a lovely little extra to add more material and give the overall look a bit detail. I'm so into straw hats this season, but I'm a bit weary because I'd imagine the perfect straw hat is hard to find! That's all from me, loves! Again I'm sorry I've been missing at the minute. I wish I could blog all the time, but revision has been getting in the way. If you're at uni or studying A-levels you'll know how stressful this month can be. I will try my best to keep the posts coming, I hope you've enjoyed.

I feel like it's been a while since I spoke about my favourite trends of the season or month. I've really been into frills recently, especially on T-shirts and combined with gingham or an off the shoulder look. Check out some of my favourite inspirations below! Lissy RoddyI probably speak about this girl TOO many times in my blog posts, but she constantly gives me inspiration on new looks and trends. I've only added in two this time, but on both occasions I've loved the frill style that crops up. I think the trend can really add to summer styles and give extra details such as to the white off the shoulder top on the first photo. The trend can be styled down to an every day look such as grey gingham combined with comfy wide leg trousers and a pair of trainers. I love eccentric styles, I'm a fan of frilled blouses styled with embellished skirts. We Wore WhatI need this blouse in my life ASAP, please. You know how I said earlier that I love the blouse and embellished skirt combo? This is exactly what I mean. I think the look is all the more bolder with the knee high dark grey suede boots. This is definitely smart wear and is such a fashion statement for me. Still obsessing over the top though, seriously. Need to find something similar. Chloe Helen MilesWhat's better than frills and denim? Absolutely nothing. This combination is an essential for summer, Paring a frilled t-shirt with some washed out blue dungarees reveals femininity through fashion. I love the sheer lace t-shirt, It's very much elegant and contrasts well with the more deeper tone of blue from the denim. This look would look amazing with some pumps or trainers such as my green Stan Smiths or Adidas Superstars Original. This would for sure be a go to day look, proving that frills can work both for going out and casual wear, too. Vivetta AW16It may of been 2016, but frills certainly have't gone out of trend. In fact they must a comeback this SS17. I love the combination of frills and embellishment considering they are two of my favourite styles at the minute. The striking baby pink and pale yellow add a sort of femininity to this look, whilst creating a fairytale sort of style through the choice of embellished designs. I particularly love the flowers and embroidered collar on the pastel pink dress. That's all from me. What's your favourite trend this spring/summer? I love the popularity of denim, alongside frilled blouses. I think off the shoulder look is definitely another favourite of mine too!
You all knew this was coming. Here I am for another year of obsessing over some of my favourite outfits from the Met Ball. There was some gorgeous looks this year, including costume inspired designs (the whole point of the ball), diversely aware outfits and much, much more. This year is by far one of my favourites and here's why... Bold and DiverseWe have a newcomer to my list in terms of my favourite outfits this year and you may have already guessed why. Zendaya's outfit was absolutely jaw-dropping for me. What actually stood out the most was the hair style. Although my hair isn't as big as hers, it's pretty close when I leave it to dry, believe me. I think she boldly takes a completely different look and defines a culture we perhaps wouldn't stereotypically see. What better place to give cultural awareness than on a Vogue created event? Zendaya wears Dolce & Gabbana styling a tropical, parrot print. The colour choice added effect to the bold look that seemingly was intended to be created through the vivid reds, yellow, tangerine and blue shades. To me, the celeb completely created her own style at the met ball, unique from any look we have ever seen before and that's completely my stance on fashion. I love to see creativity and design spiral from your roots, ethnicity and how you wish to be portrayed. As much as I love the stereotypical dresses, this is a huge win for me. Rebel and steal the show. Trench Coat VibesIt's probably no secret I've always been a huge fan of the trench coat style, which makes me love it even more seeing Priyanka Chopra styling it for her first ever Met Ball. For me, as soon as I saw this, I couldn't help but think it reminded me of a suit sort of style (which is amazing because it shows we don't need to play into our stereotypes). I love the simple nature of the outfit with the all nude colour, but of course the long trail at the back made her overall look. I think the look, created by Ralph Lauren, was different and reminded me of a business woman. Perhaps I love it so much because it reminds me of individuality, something I love to see in a woman. Of course. It's also no unknown that Chopra expresses that we are all different, whether it be ethnicity, style, culture or appearance, so that further perhaps adds to the boldness of the outfit for me. Versace and King KylieOk, but seriously though, are you even that surprised she's made it on my list? I love LOVE Versace as it is. My favourite thing about Kylie is how open she is to experimentation, whether it be with wigs, lip colours or fashion. The embellishment on this dress is absolutely everything and look how stunning it looks on camera! The designer uses dramatic fringe detail hanging from her arms, totally playing into the trends right now. Her dress is a rose gold, pastel pink sort of colour, which is one of my favourite shades in terms of fashion (red being first, of course). What makes the dress more interesting is the floral appliqués found all over the dress, expected at the Met Ball because who wants to goes plain and boring to such an event? Floral and FeminineI'm so into this look. As soon as I saw it, it reminded me of a floral or ethereal kind of theme. It's low-key compared to some of the other styles, but I feel works for her. Contrasted with the bold, vivid pink eyeshadow we see a juxtaposition of delicate and rock-chick sorta vibes. To be honest though, we didn't really re-tweet, fan girl or re-post over the outfit, we did it for the couple. Abel goes smart and formal, creating a rather elegant look for the pair. Much like Kylie, Selena Gomez features embellishment on her dress with cute little multi-coloured objects, detracting the all white look. The material of the dress, moreover, reminds me of lace detail, another trend I've been loving this year. I wish I was able to style this bob look because I've had my eye on the hairstyle for a while now... Encapsulating Costume DesignHave you ever wondered what the met ball is actually all about? If you want a visual interpretation just look to Rihanna. Vogue created the Met Ball, with it's original name being Costume Institute Gala, as an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. So if you ever look and wonder why not just a nice ball gown or fishtail dress? You're missing the point. I love that Rihanna sticks to the whole costume design history of the met ball just as much as I love the rejection of the theme seen through Zendaya's style. Rihanna's look was amazing. The celeb wears floral petal Comme Des Garcons gown full of amazing print. The garment features three dimensional panels which is where her hands rest. I just love how eccentric it is encapsulating the theme of the Met Ball completely. She styled her look with some vivid red thigh high lace up heels, adding a sexy sort of style to the costume. That's all from me, be sure to let me know you're favourite outfits from the Met Ball as I would love to know and obsess over this years styles. A lot more fashion inspired blogs to come!
Hey lovelies. I really wanted to switch up my blog post today and considering Clueless is one of my favourite films of all time, I thought why not reveal some of my favourite outfits? I love 90's style and the co-ordination kind of vibe which fits well with my own preferred style! Yellow and Tartan PrintWho doesn't love a bit of tartan? I might be your stereotypical teenage girl, but I can't help but love this outfit. Call me cliché if you want. I'm really into yellow at the minute, I feel as though it screams spring and summer as it's such a vibrant and loud colour. Probably why Cher would choose it in the first place, to make her stand out. We have the classic, extremely short mini skirts because what else would a popular girl who cares about her appearance and how the boys see her wear? I think this outfit is important because it makes a stand point and really fits with both her reputation and personality. We see it in mean girls as much as we see it in Clueless, the two girls had to have a matching kind of style so they could distinguish themselves from the rest of the school. Cher really switches up and pushes the school dress code boundaries. That's what fashion is all about. Denim Mini Skirts and BlousesAnother favourite look of mine from the film. These outfits scream smart but casual, alongside pushing the boundaries and showing off your figure. If you've been here long enough, you know I love denim skirts. Cher plays it down, but has a colour scheme going on with the black button up denim skirt, a sleeveless top combined with a blue shirt. I love it when people combine shirts with other items of clothing like the corset which has been so popular in the previous couple of months. I also love the burgundy skater dress, with an underlay of a shirt with bell sleeves. The contrast in the dark burgundy and bright white makes her stand out, essential when having the reputation of being the popular girl. We all know how much I ADORE red and burgundy too, so it's a win win situation. The 90's saw quite eccentric styles with experimentation with patterns e.g. the stripe pattern which is all over the girls outfit in the background, unfortunately that trend is a HUGE no from me. I think these outfits remind me of the transition into the beginning of spring, not too warm yet definitely not too cold either. The classic knit tights, I remember wearing them to first school, those were the days. Or perhaps not... knit tights made me itch. Fur Crop TeeBut seriously though, where can I get this cute, feminine top from? This baby pink, fur cropped tee is EVERYTHING. It definitely screams feminine fashion, but you would expect this from the type of character she is portrayed as. I think it shows her girly side (very into attracting the attention of boys) and showing off her figure as a classic popular girl. I like the contrast in what seems to be a simple, plain black skater skirt. These are so cute and can be worn for any occasion. I would usually describe such skirts as quite indie, maybe for those who don't care about going full on with their outfit. Feminine FashionWe all know this outfit. The classic fluffy pen to look cute and attract that certain someone within the film. We see a repeated pattern of feminine fashion throughout clueless, not so surprising though! I think everyone would of seen a similar image to the ones above because we all know about that fluffy pink pen as a flirting technique for Cher. As she is at a catholic school, she evidently attempts to fit with the theme by wearing the cross necklace, but we all know Cher is the opposite to the innocent, hard-working student. Instead she flirts her way into good grades, why not? We see the simple white t-shirt with the pink combo, nothing too eccentric, but still enough to stand out. Her style is very much on-trend, whatever is popular this season. We know this already from her many shopping spree's thanks to her Dad's credit card. I LOVE CLUELESS. It's genuinely my favourite chick flick film, it's also a comfort movie when I'm feeling ill or sorry for myself because it's so light hearted. It's no surprise I love this film for it's fashion, I think that I'm really into eccentric styles that make a statement and say a lot about the person. This post is very much similar to my love for 1920's fashion, as it revealed a stand point in the liberation and rebellion of females. What's your favourite film in terms of fashion?
Until next time, Em x Seeing as I'm still feeling inspired thanks to the overload of Coachella outfits last week, I decided to head over to Missguided and mentally select items which would complete three or four whole outfits. If you're off to a festival in a couple months, going on holiday or are merely shopping for summer styles, keep on reading! Suede Biker Jacket VS Ripped DenimOutfit look number one is by far my favourite. I started with the gorgeous mustard suede biker jacket and paired it with the distressed ripped denim shorts. I knew I wanted to keep a lighter colour scheme, so decided to select a simple, yet delicate and bright white cropped top. Sticking true to modern fashion, I added in the choker detail and reflective sunglasses. As you know from my Coachella blog post, I was in love with the metallic tights Hailey Baldwin wore so I decided to add in a pair to go underneath the shorts (although you can't tell they are metallic on here sadly) finally I selected studded boots to give a rock chick sort of vibe, true to festival style. I wouldn't really recommend heeled boots if you're walking in the mud, though, so a nice alternative would be converse! Long Tee VS Ripped JacketNext up is perhaps a slightly less dressed up look. I wanted to add in the longline denim jacket because it's on-trend this spring. Sticking to the blue theme, I matched the jacket with the blue tinted reflective sunglasses as we would hope there would be some sun whilst away! I didn't really want to continue with a top and shorts combo again, so I went for a classic t-shirt dress, very much popular last summer. I selected a statement, bold red with the images printed on as it was a sell out within winter and still all over online stores. I'm also obsessed with red, as you probably already know. I chose the classic Adidas Original Superstars as they often go with any look you put together. Finally I selected the same style of choker to match the black stripes on the shoes. The choker moreover further adds a bit extra detail to the overall look. Floral VS Leather Played DownFor those who aren't a big fan of vibrant colours (a bit like me at times) I decided to do a slightly more plain look. I started with the floral white playsuit, perfect for summer and festivals and paired this with the patent leather bag for a contrast in texture. Sticking to the black and white theme, I selected the velvet studded boots, as the studs eliminate the blandness of the look. The reflective sunglasses are a silver reflective tint as I was really getting into the monochrome sort of style. I added a slight statement colour with the gold metal choker, but it doesn't overpower the other items. Although I'm not speaking about makeup, the berry lipstick on the model would also add a gorgeous dash of colour to this look! Last but not least, it took me a while to put together this look. I was desperate to add in a bright red leather skirt somewhere because if there's ever a time you want to leap out of your comfort zone, it would be at a festival. I've had my eyes on red leather skirts for months now, contemplating whether it will be worth it or if I'll look stupid. Seeing as we associate festivals with sun, I paired the skirt with a harnessed bralet which features lace detail. I wanted to pair this with the distressed black denim jacket which would look nice rested on your forearm, popular in terms of photography and blogger style at Coachella. I felt the overall look had a darker colour scheme, so chose the detailed black choker with a silver stud style all over. Continuing with the theme, I chose dark shaded sunglasses which had a contrast of black and brown. The sandals are so cute and comfy for summer and the festival. The whole lace up style on shoes has been apparent for a while, therefore it's a must in your look. They also have a stud sort of detail to match with the style of the choker! That's all from me! I was feeling inspired thanks to all the hustle and bustle of Coachella all over social media, a part of me wishes I had been there. If you're attending any festivals this year, perhaps T in the Park, Leeds festival and so on, these looks could be cute. I would recommend taking jeans or leggings though if you're in the UK (the weather is never promising) and WELLIES. The mud ain't pretty. Have you been feeling festival inspired at the minute too?
Until next time, Em x It's that time of the year again where we all sit and have absolute festival outfit envy as the celebs show off their looks at Coachella. The place everyone wants to be. Throughout the weekend I've screenshot and drooled over some of my favourite outfits and I thought I'd share my fave Coachella 2017 styles with you! Sarah AshcroftI don't feel as though this needs much explanation. This girl slays everyday. Recently I've been obsessing over both her blog and YouTube channel, stealing looks for night outs or even day time, seasonal outfits. This girl has a keen eye for style and puts together the most amazing styles. I'm constantly look for inspiration off her and I'm sure some of these looks will be part of my summer wish-list this year. My favourite outfit from the three above had to be the bra-let and denim shorts combo with the ever so popular burnt orange suede jacket. Although this look wasn't as eccentric as some, I loved it as a whole. I could definitely see myself wearing this look throughout summer or for my holidays. I must admit, I'm a bit of a plain Jane, but I loved the sparkly mini dress she had worn, dressed down with the classic white converse and cute space buns. She layers it with a denim jacket, very on trend this spring. We all have to agree on this one, Sarah the queen of sunnies. The Queen of WigsAlthough Kylie hasn't quite impressed me as much as she did last year (the most memorable being the multicoloured plaits) I did love this little number. Kylie dressed down her look with this gorgeous nude mesh mini dress which can be tied up at the back. It was just a couple months ago I was tempted to buy a look similar to this and she's certainly made me even more keen to do so. Even though the hair colour isn't a look I would personally go for, as per usual Kylie can pull of anything. The outfit might be more low-key this year, but nevertheless this look still caught my attention. Hailey BaldwinForget about the clothes, lets talk about DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS. Wow. As as I saw the first photo I was blown away. Can we just take a moment for those gorgeous sparkling tights? I'm totally jumping on the bandwagon with this look. She's made a simple cropped tee and a pair of denim shorts look insane with her accessories and those amazing tights. Although I could never wear them (beauty is pain) her earring's are so striking and detailed. They also match the dangling silver tassels on her long denim jacket. Double denim is a thing guys and girls. The second photo was actually the first look I had screenshot as I love the choker detail, it's so extra and vivid. She furthers layer her look through paring her dazzling bikini style top with a plain khaki bralet, nobody is allowed to be plain at Coachella. You can't go wrong or be at fault when you pay so much attention to detail with accessories and layering. I'm all for it. Hailey is by far my number one in terms of outfit choices. SLAY. That's all from me, lovelies! I hope you enjoyed today's blog post. Be sure to let me know your favourite looks from Coachella 2017? I would love to see any hidden looks that hadn't appeared on my social media timelines. I'm sure Vanessa Hudgens, queen of Coachella, will be up there in terms of fashion again this year!
Until next time, Em x Last month, despite being currently broke due to paying for my girls holiday this year, I was feeling inspired and rather summery so I bought myself some new tops and dresses getting ready for SS17. My purchases contrasted from off the shoulder looks, to slogan tee's which I felt were rather convenient with my lifestyle (cough... pizza... cough) Slogan Tee'sSo these were the first items within my basket. I felt they were definitely a bit different to my usual style, but you can't go wrong with a t-shirt. I wore the 'pizza' slogan tee this last weekend and paired it with my black ripped jeans and Stan Smith's, the t-shirts are an essential for every day trendy looks. If you're unsure on what the first image says, it cites the famous words of Kylie Jenner, "Like realising stuff" I was further tempted due to the red and white combo (if you've stuck around long enough, you'll know by now red is my favourite colour) I bought these T-shirts solely for my holiday this year so Zante with my best friend, I thought they would be perfect to place over your bikini top and pair with cute, distressed denim shorts. I would probably pair them with some sliders or sandals, can you tell I'm excited for summer? exam free, officially an adult AND I'm going on a sunny holiday. Off the Shoulder Long Sleeved ShirtI was so hesitant to purchase this at first, for some reason it reminded me of something you would wear when you go to hospital. I thought I'd put it on a laugh in hysterics at myself for making such a poor decision, well I certainly didn't. This shirt is a godsend, it's screams spring vibes with the stripe detail and light blue colour. It would be perfect paired with white jeans and some sandals, alongside a pair of shades or perhaps some white shorts. I've had so many compliments on this new purchase and it's definitely one of my favourite items in my wardrobe at the minute. You could even put on your bikini top underneath and shorts on bottom, instantly ready to hit the beach. Also might be worth mentioning that at the end of the sleeves, it features a lengthy bit of material so that you can tie a ribbon at the end! Bardot Mini DressI bought this dress purely for my holiday, knowing I'll be in a heatwave for a full seven days (both excites me and scares me thanks to my hair colour blessing me as a victim of the sun) I'm so into light shades of blue at the minute and this to me looks like a denim sort of dress. You've probably established I love the off the shoulder look, so the combo of blue denim and off the shoulder made it impossible for me not to purchase it. You could wear this look with a massive straw hat, shades and some cute white sandals or converse if you're in for a long walk. The Mini Dress features a similar style to the shirt in the sense that you can tie a ribbon on the end of the sleeves, I love extra bits of detail like this. Just to let you all know, I'm hoping to do some summer blog posts on my looks whilst I'm away, so you can see how I style all of the above looks! That's all from me! I hope you've been inspired by my SS17 Missy Empire haul. I had an episode shopaholicism again and felt an urge to splurge my money on some cute clothes. Whether it's the off the shoulder look, perhaps gingham or denim, what's your signature look this spring/summer?
Until next time, Em x Evening loves! After a couple of a hectic weeks of headaches, eye pain and just being rather ill, I finally managed to make it out of the house on Sunday. I went on a shopping spree with my mum and Auntie and knowing that I was in desperate need of some new pj's, my mum took me to Boux where she bought be some lovely pyjama's. I thought they were cute and wanted to share em' with you. If you need pj inspo, here it is! Boux AvenueI never really talk about Boux all that much, but I honestly love the brand. As soon as I walked into the shop, it reminded me so much of Victoria Secret (another place in which I can spend hours on end in). My favourite thing is the setup and layout of a shop, I feel as though it's vital to lure customers in. Sometimes when I'm walking into shops it's literally all over the place, which is why I get a mild panic on when I see the clutter and chaos of the sales. Honestly, I usually just shop online. Nevertheless, the whole setup of the shop was insane and immediately motivated me to find some nice pj's. I have previously purchased a bra and knicker set from here and it was absolutely gorgeous. It's a vivid dark pink lace set and is absolutely beautiful, so if you're looking for a Victoria Secret style shop, Boux is definitely the place. Animal Love & Paw PrintSo these are the first pyjama's I had purchased. They actually weren't the ones I was originally going to pick. The pair Intended on buying had a cute green ribbed vest top alongside some patterned shorts, but they didn't have my size. Twas' a sad day. I picked up these ones instead as they're just as equally as cute as the other pair. So the top has sleeves just covering the shoulders. I went for a rather girly look with the blue and pink combo. The shorts have paws dotted all over and the top simply has a bears face on it (I think). For both sets I actually picked up a size eight and they picked perfectly, the clothing is definitely true to size. If you're a similar size to me, then I would definitely recommend picking up the 8. The set was around £26 and if you have a discount code you can get 10% off, bargain. Obviously I don't spend loads of time nit-picking at pyjama's because at the end of the day they're made to sleep in and that's all, but these were definitely a cute lil purchase. Party VibezThese were actually my first and most favourite pyjama set out of the whole store. I pretty much picked the set up due to the fact I feel it's very me. The top says, 'sleep all day' and the bottoms on the back say, 'party all night' again it's a pink and purple combo. I've just realised how girly my style is, but I don't care because I love the set (also annoyed at myself for stereotyping there). The front of the bottoms have a star pattern to them with matching the colour scheme. I wore these to bed last night and they're honestly so comfy. One of the main reasons for purchasing the set is due to the fact I'm off to Zante and needed a set I wouldn't get too hot in, therefore the vest top was a necessity to my wardrobe and holiday list. Not only this, but a girls holiday is pretty much a 'party all night' kind of vibe, who agrees? So pyjama set number two was also around £26, but well worth it because they don't feel cheap and chatty. That's all from me, loves. Let me know if you're also a Boux lover whether it be pyjama, bikini or bra sets. I absolutely love the brand for the thought provoking styles and the care for layout (especially in the stores) they have so much to offer in terms of lingerie and bathing sets. They also sell a lot of travel size goodies and accessories, so if you're wanting a nice spray for your holidays that will last the week, I would recommend checking them out for that too!
Until next time, Em x I was doing some retail therapy shopping in my local city centre when I came across the Gigi x Tommy collaboration. I found it in Fenwicks and it really stood out for me (probably due to the way they set it up) I really wanted to reveal to you guys on what I thought about the collaboration! Considering we had some good sunshine today, the theme of the collection fits perfectly with the gorgeous weather which I hope stays for the rest of both spring and summer. Tommy HilfigerThe first thing I thought of when I saw the collection was sitting by the beach in california, getting ready to pick up your surf board and dive into the sea. The collection largely screams a sporty/beach type of vibe which I feel really fits the representation of Gigi Hadid in my mind. My favourite item from the collection had to be the cotton pique cropped polo merely due to the colour. The representation of the shirt reminded me of two things: a waitress working in a stereotypical American Diner sticking to the tradition of American identity, alongside a very summery beach look due being cropped and a gorgeous shade of yellow/orange. Hadid sticks to recent trends by adding the skinny fit jeans and denim jacket with embroidery all over, possibly representing Gigi as an individual through the lipstick, watermelon and peace sign, etc. Summer VibezMy personal favourite aspect of the collection (which I'm sure you can all guess whats coming) is the colour scheme. Gigi reps a yellow, blue and red themed collaboration which gives the overall collection vibrancy. If you haven't already picked up on it, it's the three primary colours, too. The choice is unusual then considering typical colour schemes of recent fashion, creating a unique look. I feel this collection is inspiring due to the fact they have seemingly really focused on representing Gigi through choice of colour, type of clothing and embroidery work apparent on jeans and the to the left of the top in the image above. The peace sign resembles possibly a rather care-free aspect to the model, whilst also connoting the need for acceptance and freedom, which is straying away into a completely different blog style, reeling it back in... Patchwork DetailI love the collection and whats more, some of the items are cheaper than what I had originally thought. The Vicose Patchwork top is merely £85 and considering the brand collaboration, I was impressed! I could afford that from my wages this month. What do you think of the collection, yay or nay?
Until next time, Em x We've had a few days of sunshine, which was promising and put me in a good mood, but now it's back to dull and rainy days. Don't you just love typical British weather? I hope you can sense my sarcasm. Today I wanted to show you, as I've browsed through my Instagram and Pinterest feed, my current obsessions and items of clothing I will be wearing throughout spring. Denim has been an apparent reoccurrence on social media and has gone straight into my wishlist on various online clothing stores. I wanted to show you a few of my favourite looks and the bloggers who have been giving me the ULTIMATE inspiration. Zoella - Oversized JacketI wish I could rock huge glasses like Zoella. This girl has been described as the "social media queen" taken from her recent interview with Cosmopolitan, where she featured on the front cover. Zoella is probably one of the few that inspired me to begin blogging. I remember seeing her blog post where she was wearing a mustard A-line skirt, alongside a white blouse. I fell in love with her fashion and it all spiralled from there. I've been watching her recent blogs and noticed this oversized, washed out, denim jacket. It's to die for and perfect for the weather that comes with spring in Britain. A cool, breezy sort of weather, but I'm not making any promises if you go out in a hoodless denim jacket and it starts to rain. I just hope your hair doesn't go curly and frizzy like mine! Overall I'm really into oversize jackets over the top of a jumper or top, alongside some black ripped jeans and a pair of Chelsea boots. There's a future outfit planned already. Sarah Ashcroft - Bell Sleeved jacketI came across this outfit on my Instagram. It made me realise that you can both dress up and dress down a denim jacket. The denim and leather combo with some plain coloured heels is ultimate outfit goals. If you're going for some drinks with your friends, this is the perfect attire for the occasion. I've noticed, as well, that her jacket has the bell sleeves. This is a trend I'm seeing everywhere on tops and absolutely loving. I think this trend will be around for a while because it's so popular. It adds a little extra detail and extravagance to your overall outfit. I can see myself wearing the trend ALL summer. MissguidedI've been browsing some denim jackets recently, so I thought I would show you some of the ones I have picked out. These two jackets are totally affordable and worth it because items like these are worn day in, day out. The jacket to the left has a faux fur lining to the hood and inside of the jacket, meaning if it is chilly, the fur will leave you nice and warm still. Remember how earlier I mentioned about not having a hood? Well this one does! You're pretty much all set to go with this little number. To the right, is a distressed denim jacket, which is another option I'm really loving. This is definitely more of a day wear item, with a pair of black jeans. I reckon this was inspired by the ever so popular ripped jeans at the knee, what do you think? There is plenty of options at the minute in terms of denim jackets, so I'm sure your favourite store has something similar! That's all from me, loves! I've always been a fan of denim jackets. I remember the first one I ever had, I would live in. It was a long-sleeved, cropped jacket. They are ideal as you can where them whenever, wherever. If it's cold, layer it with a jumper and if it's warm, layer it with a short sleeved top. What are your views on denim jackets?
